Executive Director, SELPA

The executive director serves as the chief administrator of the SELPA to operate the Joint Powers Agency (JPA) on behalf of member districts and implements the local plan for special education. The executive director must be able to synthesize and communicate special education laws and effectively implement services to disabled children. The executive director must assist parents, supervise employees, provide opportunities for staff and parent training, maintain a fiscally sound budget, and follow all state and federal requirements. The executive director shall have the ability to work with districts with diverse populations.

Start date is negotiable, but no later than July 2021.
